  1. 5:56 Great to see Andy finally get the monkey off his back ! I have to say though that Barron despite a couple of assists is a defensive liability. Arber is sent to Laval ? I'd package Harris; Barron and Savard for a good pick+. Strubble deserves to stay. Monty looked strong despite two goals thanks to Barron. GHG

  2. If dach wasn’t injured and Monty plays the next 80 percent of the games we have a shot ..
Not a whiskey shot. A playoff shot.
    Hi deeks how’s work

  3. People panic pretty quickly these days Drew, Anderson had 21 goals last year and people forgot that maybe?, they wanted to trade him right away, He is a power forward, something we don't have much of these days, he can score, pass, even fight if need be. Caufield had ONE goal in 30 games, 5 in 40, before Marty took over the bench a couple years ago, came out and scored 22 in the second half of the season. Imagine, trading both these guys! lol Good video bud!

  4. With the top line playing as well as they did, they easily could have had 3 goals tonight. I think its been really encouraging seeing how 22-14-20 have melded, and it felt that every time they were on the ice they were driving play in the Isles zone. A lot easier to see the vision when guys are playing well!

Very happy for Anderson and Cole for scoring, and overall a stong game for many players!

Thanks for the video Drew! Love the vids as always 🙂

  5. Being a Hab s fan is hard. Especially if you are old enough to remember the glory days. I am 57 and have been a Hab s fan since the 70's, so I have seen it all. We need to be patient. This team will get better. They are young. The veterans are needed to help these young guys mature. We cannot trade them all and expect the team to get better. Yes they need some tweaks, but that will come later. I
Let's just celibate the win for what is was, a damn good game.

  6. I had an interaction with an Ottawa fan before the season started. His claim was that Montreal would be in last place in the Atlantic (as did most pundits) and his Ottawa team would be making, or at least fighting for a playoff spot. I know it's only 30 games in and 25 for Ottawa but who'd of thought Montreal would be a par team while Ottawa is sitting last in our division? Anyways, I'm glad Anderson got a couple. I knew he broke his slump on the empty netter a couple games back. As the saying goes sometimes it takes a "lame" goal to break a slump. Coalfield should be allowed to score but the management wanted him to do more. He is a great player and passer yet in most instances it was a futile attempt cause the other players being fed couldn't score. The last few games the guy was making great plays but sometimes you get periods of no scoring.

  7. It certainly helps to win games when Anderson scores! I'm happy Anderson is back. Hopefully we'll see more wins for the remainder of the season.

  8. The good : we got the win. The bad : blowing the lead again. The positives. Slafkovsky is making plays without the points. That caufield goal wouldn't have happened without his board play. Jayden Struble is a solid defenseman and has great timing for making plays. We have two gems in your players.

  9. Great intro, DD. My biggest notice last night was not much standing around in the O zone to go along with hitting the high danger slot for chances

As I was typing you said exactly that lol. Good stuff!!!

  10. Anderson is streaky
And let's not forget He is a Monster in the Playoffs ask Leafs fans
Only problem is Next year the Blackhawks will have Bedard and Celebrini or Cole Eiserman
If I'm Hughes we can't finish 12th and just miss the Playoffs
Start selling already let's finish 7th have a shot at the 1-3 rd pick at worst we draft the 6'4 forward Cayden Lidstrom

  11. How we call habs supporters now? Fans or hypocrites? They all wanted Anderson out of MTL before this game🤦‍♂️

  12. ..long time Habs fan…Gallagher, Anderson and way most of the teams forwards work hard but accomplish little..size and grit are an issue..most have no real trade value…Suzuki the only #1 on team..3 yrs. away from winning..

  13. Great episode Drew. Nice to see the win, although it got close there. So glad for Anderson and Caufield with goals on the night. GHG

  14. Saying that Anderson has under performed this season is nothing new. Saying it's hurting the Habs this season is also not new. But I have to say, slumps do happen (Crosby once had an 11 game goalless streak), and it was nice to see the fans cheer Anderson on at the end of the game after he got the 1st star. It's nice for the fans to recognize how hard he works and the effort he puts in to try and get out of his slump. I actually got emotional for him last night. Montreal is a special place for players to play. Yes, we do boo when players don't put effort but we also recognize it when players play for the team and not for themselves. I always understood the rumors around Anderson being traded but I have always liked him and will be happy to see him stay and help win a cup here if he reminds a Montreal Canadien.. 🙂

  15. Solid game for sure, that Guile hit was the winning statement. Isles seem like an old team, but Nelson and Dobson are impressive.

  16. Applause for Josh Anderson and for the Habs fans who cheered and gave him a standing ovation. I can remember moments in the past (and I'm sure will still happen in the future) when fans turned on players/team and had to endure "boos" which was deserved or not, however, it's definitely heartwarming to see fans showing their support and appreciation to players who deserve/need it. Let us all hope this is a positive turning point for Josh…but if not, it was certainly a nice moment for him and the fans. It was nice to see Romanov again and although he may not have shown a lot in this game, he was still a player I enjoyed cheering for as a fan, who gave the Habs a needed element of "keep your head up" punishment and had a great team personality but was traded, not because it was his choice to leave, but because of a mgmt hockey decision (a 1st rnd pick which led to Dach). The Islanders may have overpaid but I personally still cheer for Romy and hope he has a good career.

  17. At this stage of the rebuild and where they are at this point in time maybe one more top 5 to 8 maybe 10ish is better in the big picture rather than 14n-15ish where almost there but not quite. I know I know trying to win and get chemistry I get it but who knows maybe the pivotal point is in Hudson or someone still to come as far as game changer good supporting cast but need a "the guy"

  18. Not gonna lie still mad we didn’t move Anderson lol, Trust me I love Anderson I think he is a good NHL player, But he gets paid to much money and he just does not fit with this team for the money he makes I think we should have moved him… Juraj Slafkovsky is looking soooo good if he can find consistency and he can work behind the net like he was in this game and others he could have a higher ceiling than fans believe, Suzuki looked very good tonight as well along with Caufield. For fans that Cry about Montreal passing on Michkov, Look at Noah Dobson… David Reinbacher is very comparable to Noah Dobson and if Reinbacher can hit his potential he could be a great TWD productive Offensively and Defensively. He’s offensive abilities are very underrated just like Dobson and now islanders fans are seeing how good Dobson can be offensively.
