  1. Appreciate Staios' handling of all this and his ability to answer questions concisely and professionally. That's one good change so far. Can't wait to see Jacques and Alfie behind the bench. I'm actually going to watch the next game to see the coaches!

  2. Is his next move to bring yashin & heatley back to help the power play? I assume it is cause it seems the plan is to fix the team with nostalgia.

  3. Thanks, DJ, for your work in the early years of the rebuild, helping the young guys develop. But this departure is long overdue. Clearly you’re good with young players, maybe a coaching job in junior would suit you. Best of luck going forward.

  4. Defence and PK has been BAD, Chasing the play. Thanks Wayne for asking the question about Capuano, the answer still does not make sense to me.

  5. While not providing mouth-watering sound bites, it is incredibly nice and welcomed to hear someone pragmatic and intelligent behind the wheel. No matter what tribulations occur, Steady Steve will be there to right the ship

  6. Bla Bla Bla …Pierre Dorion and Eugene were forced to run a midget team in OTTAWA for a number of reasons ..small market ..penny pinching team led by Melnyk for 7 years ..coincidence Pierre was GM for 7 years ..lmao

  7. Remember this classic Eugene Melnyk’s ‘Between Two Sens’ video an (awkward) comedy classic

Notoriously cash-strapped owner talks rebuild and relocation with defenceman (and semi-hostage) Mark Borowiecki in team-produced video that offers more proof Ottawa is like Canada’s garage franchise — a small-time operation whose success came despite everything, writes Bruce Arthur

  8. OTTAWA midget TEAM ran by Melnyk …Melnyk’s rambling complaints in advance of the team’s showcase Parliament Hill game; the stumbling toward an inevitable Karlsson trade; the plunge to the bottom of the standings; and the cyberbullying lawsuit filed by Karlsson and his wife Melinda against the fiancée of Senators winger Mike Hoffman, Monika Caryk. Hoffman was quickly traded to San Jose, which got a better deal then Ottawa by trading him to Florida about 10 minutes later.

  9. Next thing……get rid of Bruce. Anyone else would be better covering the team. Bruce is the last piece of the old regime.
