That was probably one of the most Sabres loss we couldve had. Great game in Vegas followed by getting shut out by the fucking yotes because of a sloppy play leading to UPL brain fart and yet another breakaway goal
Embarrassing game. The team was an absolute mess after that UPL turnover. Didn’t help that they couldn’t hit the fucking net all night. I don’t even know what else to say. We served that game up on a silver platter.

Gave up a bad goal and stopped playing… then after the 2nd goal they were completely lifeless until the goalie was pulled.
I don’t get it. They just don’t have any drive to play for 60 minutes multiple games in a row.
That first goal was a backbreaker. Had about 3 minutes of solid zone pressure and then did everything but put the puck in our own net for Arizona. Jesus.

This is a scheduled comment at this point but at what point do we start seriously talking about the coaching staff. These are the players your management signed to big deals because they played like they were worth it for the last few years. All of a sudden they seem to have forgotten how to play competitive hockey and go from one good performance to one soul sucking performance like a yo-yo. You cannot keep doing this.
Team is just a joke. Hard to watch teams like the Flyers & Preds sell off talent over the summer & be much better than us. Even the Yotes & Habs are ahead of us. Not doing anything about this coaching staff is just the organization saying we’re fine punting this season. Just a waste of time. Until the same shit happens again next year after we overpay for some vets & Okposo is back for another season.
Did they forget how they beat Arizona a week ago? Where the 4th line kept crashing the net and banging in goals? They consciously avoided the front of the net tonight.
This game right here is a prime example of why the rest of the league will never take us seriously.
Granato needs to go. These kids don’t need a friend behind the bench they need a *real* coach who will hold them accountable when they fuck up.
Id love to see the record in 11-7 games. Just so obviously no rhythm whatsoever when they do it
Really sucks to get goalied again. But You gotta give it to Plexi Glass really made our fowards look stupid, just could not stop hitting it.

That was pretty much the game that tells me we are cooked. We’re gonna finish well below last year. Fire the coaching staff because this is seriously unacceptable at this point. Arizona is now a better team than us and they were in complete shambles for the past couple years.
Honestly this game was so low energy. From both sides, mind you! AZ got 2 lucky breaks (UPL fucking up, Johnson slipping while chasing that breakaway) which led to 2 goals. They couldn’t even fucking hit an empty net with multiple chances for 3 and a half minutes, that kinda shows what I mean.

It’s not soul-crushingly bad, but man, still sucks.
The Krueger-era is in full effect.
The team generates next to nothing in terms of high danger chances outside of the occasional individual effort.
Speaking of, Krebs needs something more than Okposo and Robinson. I know that it’s tough with the roster, but he’s being underutilized. Either trade him or give him someone to work with.

I understand that these guys try to pick spots when shooting. But how can they miss the net SO much?? Wouldn’t you give up picking spots at some point and just hit the damn net?!

I’m ready for a tough feet moving at all times coach, bc all I saw today was coasting. I’m sick of coasting, it’s acceptable in men’s league games, NOT WHEN YOU’RE PAID TO WIN GAMES AND NOT SUCK!!!
Did we even have anyone take a shot from the slot the whole game? Arizona kept us on the parameter so there was little to no pressure for the Arizona goaltender. Once again a piss poor effort for Buffalo especially on offense.
I miss Quinn. I miss having a trustworthy second line. I miss not missing the net.
I think I get it. We’re a team of one-uppers. We always have to outshine the competition. Best team in the league you say? Nono. We will crush you.

Oof… That was kind of pathetic to watch. The first 15 minutes were extremely sloppy, and then they controlled the game up until that first AZ goal, even if they had more shots that hit the glass than the goalie’s crest. They didn’t crash the net or have any net-front presence at all even though it worked so well on Monday.
Not to mention that they looked so flat in the 3rd. AZ likely would have outworked us if we were 6 on 3 at the end.
1-12 record after a win now.

Finally saw them live this year and I swear the system in the offensive zone is the weirdest thing. They all stay in their relative position the entire time as they skate up and they never change the formation. It totally handcuffs the team from any unpredictable play.
I like these players and I think they’re capable of doing great things but they don’t mentally prepare themselves for games. They’ll embarrass the Bruins, Rangers and Knights in their own barn and then play so uninspired the next game. They’re going to get their coaches fired and then they’ll get some coach who breaks sticks and waves the sharp end in their faces, makes the players sleep on cots under the stands and bag skate ’em after every loss. Well, maybe not that bad but they’ll regret not producing for Granato.
