puck hit the net on the shoot around on chicago's 3rd goal. they passed on some obvious penalties and called some silly ones on both sides. a couple of icing calls not called on both sides. first time i've seen a player get 17 minutes for stepping up for a team mate and fighting. seen 7 minutes many times, not 17. this crew was from the bottom of the barrel.
Canucks finally got a guy who will stick up for his teammates! I hope others start thinking the same way.
Bring in Toffoli to play on Petey's wing. They play great together as has been proven. He's a UFA and we have some cash off the books at the end of the year. albeit some of that will need to go to players like Hronek but still … get er done.
Bedard looks defeated playing for the blackhawks. You can just tell he hates that organization, he desperately wants out. Won't be surprised to see him asking for a trade.
Gotta answer the bell now for being pesky and taking liberties of hitting Canucks' skilled players to derail their game. Big Z is a perfect addition as a Tocchet's type of player. Protection is assured when you have a mountain of a man.

I was unable to watch either of these stupid early starts. I can almost watch a 4 pm start but sorry busy life means I can't watch hockey at noon. NHL needs to ban this stuff
PS they need to start when the other team does not in the second period.
I agree with Jeff they need to be careful about over valuing players. I doubt Jim and Patrick will fall into that trap they seem pretty savvy but we know the history of this franchises previous GM"s messing up bad. Regarding Zadorov and Joshua I think if they want term they need to sacrifice amount.
These guys worrying about Dakota Joshua’s next contract, meanwhile the Canucks are in second place overall.
You can’t build a contending team in one season, patience grasshopper…. Podkolzin hopefully comes back better next season
Jeff is correct , that Zadorov incident was not officiated correctly. No way that should have been an instigator or misconduct. NHL officiating once again getting it wrong. Also it was pretty obvious that the puck hit the netting and was out of play on the 2nd. Chicago goal. 4 officials , not a clue

Zadorov's approach to the fight was actually pretty funny because he just delivered one solid punch then let Johnson turtle. It was 100% about sending a message and I'm fine with that.
I had zero problems with the hit, but it just takes one Reese Johnson type player crossing the line to end a player's season. I know we all saw the articles or videos agonizing over how the Maple Leafs should have handled Marchand tripping Liljegren(sp), and if the price of keeping players like Hughes and Pettersson safe is the occasional instigator penalty then I think we can live with it.
Do you really think that Jim Rutherford is not aware of the process needed to re-sign Pettersson , Hronek etc.?
Really enjoy having Paterson on Sekeres and Price, sure he can get a lil long winded sometimes with his answers but even that he has cut down recently imo. All and all he is very knowledgeable when it comes to hockey and ofc especially the Canucks so yeah having him on these interviews really is a treat.
These guys are like that parent who sees you get 99 on a test then get angry and ask you why you couldn’t get 100
