The very condensed schedule , injuries, in December and very few practice days shows in the play. On completion of the games on December 23rd it will be 8 games in 13 nights. That trip to Sweden didn't help us long term. I expect they will call up Hutchinson from GR and hope Lyon will be back sooner than later. Husso's injury did not look good for us.

1.5 years into Newsies tenure and this team doesn’t show much signs of improvement. Yes, they’re not bottom feeders anymore, but that’s because of better overall players, not better play.

This Is a playoff caliber team that is hampered with injuries and no goaltending. Yzerman needs to trade for one asap
Wings don't play defense. Wings don't know how to control the puck. Wings are not showing up 60 minutes a game. I'm with the guy who commented on the Wings not making the playoffs if they don't have a defense. Seider is overrated as a defenseman. Wings are consistently streaky in their play. They will not make the playoffs this year being like that. These problems also begin with coaching. Lalonde needs to go.. The players don't appear to have respect for him as they continue to not play 60-minute hockey. Wings are also passing way, way, way too much on power plays. They are running out the power plays with all there ridiculous passing instead of finding a lane to shoot the puck on net. Wings don't get anybody in front of the net to screen opposing netminder. You can't expect the puck to get in the back of the net when you don't screen the opposing netminder. And the Wings don't complete their checks, yet these opposing teams are whipping the Wings in that category as well. Lyon is the best netminder the Wings have. He's hurt right now, but he has the spirit to want and to win every game. You could tell that some or few players are putting an effort to win, but the rest of the team doesn't. Wings are losing to "in the cellar" teams in the West conference. This is inexcusable. You won't make the playoffs losing to these teams and not playing any defense.
Stop waving the sticks staring at the puck and skating in circles waving sticks. This team needs to stop if they over skate the puck and not circle out of the play. Same for front of the net on offense stop in front of the net don’t shoot miss and skate behind the net.
Defense! Take the puck carrier out in the neutral zone .

Huge wings fan here, and kinda smart hockey guy…..the wings need to GET….THE…FUCKING…PUCK! They need better sticks! You can't be having the "ducks and the flyers" control the puck all game long, and then they jump up the middle on a rush against us like playing defense for them is a walk in the park. oh, we got it now easily, start rushing up the ice and ill pass it to you, lol. ….Get the fucking puck……and pass it to an OPEN guy who is heading up the ice, like every other team does to us, easy as pie.
The depth this team is supposed to have should allow them to roll right through games like this…. but not, this team seems to lack motivation

A couple of times the camera would pan to him, and I immediately thought, I FEEL that expression. I can see his desire to tough it out and good on him, but I hope his trainers are paying attention…
Ever since the boston game i think maybe one before? We was forechecking so well and scored and defended well and its all just gone to pot in like 2 weeks. Brutal for us but i do believe we will pick it up, losing to this ducks team is grim tho 😂

Thank goodness we listened to the fans screaming "we need more goal scorers" The defensive lapses are not anything new. Go back and watch game footage and you can see on SO MANY goals where we chase the puck to one side of the ice and leave half of it open. You can literally count 5 red jerseys to 3 of the other team almost EVERY goal. SAME problem we had last year.
