By what metric? I like our first line, I see them generating a lot of high danger chances but they aren’t exactly putting up many points.

Both Suzuki and Caufield have crazy low shooting percentages right now. Caufield has by far the worst of his career and Suzuki the worst since his 20yo rookie season. The chances are there, they’re all playing really well together and there’s no reason to think that their shot percentage won’t come back up to the norm. And when that happens they are going to surprise a shitload of people.

Yep. Also bringing Slaf in there with his amazing Board work is just what these guys needed
FakeCrash
That’s actually impressive.

Oilers cheating by having 4 players on their 1st line 😐
Mister_Foetus
Of course Oilers have the best line, they have 4 players!

Slaf has improved so much it’s crazy

It’s the most cliche of cliches right now but just IMAGINE what Slaf is going to be in 2-3 years. He’s a beast.

The CSS Line has been driving offense every shift, and they can sustain long possessions in the O-zone that lead to multiple chances. They’re not as bogged down in their zone as previous iterations, even if they still have issues clearing the zone.
Yes, I’m calling it the CSS Line. Caufield-Suzuki-Slafkovsky. Or Canadiens SuperStars line.

Production doesn’t follow though

I love seeing that, but you just cannot manifest *expected* stats into actual point production. It will come, sure, but as of now, it’s still hypothetical

Shout out to Will Carrier and Keegan Kolesar.

Vegas’ 4th line taking 3rd place is comical. Talk about depth
