  1. I hope he can be our "Matthews" or "mcdavid" that those teams have, since we don't rly have a superstar forward.

  2. Definitely over hyped by some like 50 goals is a little nutty but it depends on how he develops and if Milan Lucic doesn't decide to end one ofhis seasons.

  3. You don't need to know French to understand this easy joke: c'est tout un début, 👉dé « but » 👈 pour Caufield 😉

  4. That one timer shot will be his bread and butter. What I liked is that his first one timer was from far away and forced a good save from the goalie. Man is accurate. He seems to be a natural. The way he plays feels so natural and effortless.

Hopefully he reaches that Art Ross, above a point per game, 40+ goals per season level.

Montreal deserves such a player and Caufield deserves to reach that level in a city that will love him 🙏🙏🙏

  5. Dude he’s so good that I made drastic moves to secure him on my dynasty fantasy team. I have 2 RW spots. I traded Debrincat to put him in. I lost a player spot until he gets called up and I did it in a playoff position. My other RW is Marner. So I’m a die hard leaf fan that traded Debrincat and risked playoff chances to make way for a Canadien who hasn’t played a single game yet. He’s THAT filthy

  6. Seeing all the leafs fans crying on Twitter and eating crud was a beautiful moment. I hope Caufield is our generations Rocket Richard.

  7. cole claufield is amazing but i think yall are overhyping this dude. He played one ahl game, lets see him do it a couple more times. also remember the ahl is a biggggg step up from the nhl. Hes going to be an amzing player and i hope he lives up to the hype but lets see him play more ahl games and some nhl games especially in the playoffs before we start calling him a 50 goal scorer superstar.

  8. Been following him since before the draft too. Love the kid, on and off the ice. Special talent that's for sure. I've got my fingers crossed that one of Suzuki or KK pan out so Caufield has a legit #1 centre to play with.
Even in his first pro game last night, he was the best on the ice, or at least for the rocket. Once his teammates KNOW what Caufield is capable of, they'll start looking for HIM instead of just any open guy

  9. I just can’t wait to see when Caufield goes to the habs and what Burrows does with him on the PP in the future…. it’s great to know that know the habs coaching staff lets you be creative so he’ll have more of a chance to score then just sending it around the boards

  10. Laval plays one more game today and then they have the week off. Wouldn’t be surprised Cole gets a call from MB in that timeframe👀

  11. I'm hyped af. Glad to see Poehling get in on the scoresheet too. I don't want to push anyone's buttons here but I think Caufield will be better than Jack Hughes.

  12. They need to be patient with Caufield and not get crazy, leave him at Laval this year. People are expecting so much of the kid already, if he don’t score after 2-3 games peoples are already gonna say “oh it’s a bust” fans can be intense. NHL is not on the same level than AHL.

  13. Congratulations Cole Caufield on your great AHL debut and for winning the Hobey Baker Award. We need you in Montreal now. Can't wait to see you in a Habs uniform. I think you will be the next great GUY LAFLEUR.

  14. I thought he looked small in the NCAA, He looked like a child in that Laval game vs Toronto! He has talent but Hab fans are expecting way 2 much.

  15. cole is going to be a legend hes proving everybody wrong at every steps he makes ovi will be 1st goal scorer of all time soon when we all tought gretzky would ever be goal scorer like them dont surrender they succeed

  16. As a very long time follower of the Habs I have learned to temper expectation on the prospects.
After 2 games I am really impressed by Goal's general play and positioning. I will have to reassess my projections and say he may become part of an above mediocre top6 before 2023!
