I’ll keep up some Hopium about Columbus tanking in the 3rd and us doing quite good in the 3rd usually, but this is not looking great so far…

The sportsbooks have been making a decent amount of money from me when I bet the Sabres against a shit team. But wait! We’re the shit team.

Haven’t been on the sabres reddit in a while because there is no use saying the same thing over and over again: Not having your team ready to play a hockey game is some basic bad coaching shit.
And we’re getting to the point where not firing your coach after rarely having his team ready to play hockey is some bad GM shit.
We are fucked for a long time if this is a talent problem. So many long term contracts.
At this point, the only solution is to trade away a player we don’t want traded away. If what Adam’s says is true, that the coaches are saying one thing and the players arent listening, and we arent willing to fire the coach. The message needs to be sent somehow. No one is safe. You aren’t coming to buffalo to coast by and rake in your millions. Mitts or Jj or quinn or samuelson or joker or power need to be sent off, not because I don’t want them here, but because everyone feels too comfortable. You will be getting an excellent player in return so it’s not just some sort of dump. It can’t be a player like VO because no one gives a fuck about VO.
Adams saying that Cozens was wrong to call out the team as soft makes sense. It makes sense that a guy who comes across as too nice to be managing a professional sports team would be upset by bluntly honest comments made by a player.
I think I’m done planning anything around this team for the foreseeable future. I’ll catch games if I have nothing else to do. But I’m not investing any more time, energy or money. It took 12.5 years, but they got me.
I just want to point out one thing.
While the Blue Jackets might have a worse record than the Sabres this year (and last), and yea, they are missing two players from their top line and arguably their best two-way d-man….ummm, well, they fired their coach before the season began. And look how shitty they are.
