Cleanest game we’ve played in forever. Hope this trend of playing responsibly continues.

Best game of the year as far as I’m concerned. Really tight team hockey with some great forechecking and sustained pressure. The times Toronto evened it up they immediately responded.

The biggest thing is that they’re getting contributions from everywhere. Even before the goal I thought Schneider looked really good, he had made a ton of perfectly timed pinches and seemed to constantly be able to keep the puck in the zone. Laffy finally got on the scoring sheet, but I loved seeing him continue to play great defense with some tough back-checking.

Vesey has really grown on me, guy plays hard every shift and the bottom six in general just hustle. I think Cuylle really adds a dimension of grit and hustle. Lastly, if there ever was a textbook game of “get the puck on net” this was it. Love that they’re firing from everywhere and not teeing up the perfect shot.

Confirmed: the Igor we all know and love is back.

Confirmed: this team is for real.

  4. duckets615

Be honest. Everyone knew Schneider was gonna win this one. So obvious.

  5. denethors_tomato

One of the best first periods I’ve seen from them, even though they didn’t score.

  6. EyeCloser

Great game– also super glad to see Shesty looking good again.

Rubber game later in the year. Nice come back from ugly loss at home.

Braden Schneider is always so wholesome in every interview he does.

  11. JayTee245

That game was a solid 60 minutes! Let’s see if we can keep it up against the Oilers.

  12. will122589

I think they’ve righted the ship. An easy win against Anaheim, a strong road win in Boston and the best win of the season on the road in Toronto to snap Toronto’s 9 game point scoring streak and they did it with relative ease.

Just tell Wheeler before every game he is facing the Leafs and he’ll be good to go lol. Bring on McDavid

  13. drewdonohue13

Matthew’s shot is crazy Igor had no chance on those two

“You did this in our building? We’ll do it in your building.”- Vally

    Softies Leafs are so salty.

  15. nice to see the defensive structure and good igor back for the last few games, don’t forget how to play the right way again boys!!!

  16. jkman61494

Top to bottom maybe their best game of the year since Game 1. Everyone had their contribution tonight

  17. ItsHeadbangerG

    Vengeance claimed.

These boys are looking rock solid! Defense has returned to the strategy albeit imperfect defense. Love seeing Shesty get back in his groove, and how about these wonderful Leafs players helping us score? Such nice guys.

Love to see it. See ya Friday.

  18. IGOR’S BACK!!!

  19. Sjdillon10

Why does every team we play swear we get so much favoritism lol

  20. Devils losing to the Philadelphia fucking Flyers by finding out that you need actual NHL goaltenders to win games. Leafs losing because the dominance of their top 6 was outmatched by the sheer incompetence of their bottom 6. It’s a beautiful night.

  21. Grouchy-Power-806

Super happy for shesty and laffy tonight.

We need them both on their game if we’re going to make a go of this Stanley cup thing lol

  22. Aromatic-Result1154

Loved that Charlie Hustle slide from Key!

  23. Key-Tip-7521

Quick! someone give me a good name for this episode of Rangers Hockey?

I’m thinking *New York Leaf Blowers*

  24. TheIncredibleHork

Valley savagery during the MSG 150.

Guy on Columbus gets a natural hat trick.

Valley: Half credit because it’s Buffalo.

    💀

  25. terithegreat

Seems clear at this point that when this team wants to win, they win. The losses almost all seem like games they decide to phone in instead. Great game tonight, vibes continue to 📈

  26. Quintuplespeak

Sorry Toronto, I guess you haven’t solved us.

    From an ESPN article:

The best way to handle the Rangers’ offense at 5-on-5? Making their top players defend as much as possible, as the Toronto Maple Leafs did effectively in their 7-3 win at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night.

“I think it’s vital. I think they’re a far different team when their top people aren’t on the ice,” Leafs coach Sheldon Keefe said. “That’s not uncommon for most teams, but there’s a great discrepancy with this group, so we needed to manage that.”

  27. Key looks great on the ice. Didn’t get to watch the whole game but the parts I did Miller was all over the ice.

  28. Wesley__Willis

Jimmy Vesey didn’t show up on the scoresheet tonight but that man has become a real problem for the opposing team whenever he’s out against their bottom 6

  29. dankeykanng

Zibanejad with two even strength goals I can hardly believe my eyes

  30. Holy watching the Toronto broadcast and those guys are fucking homers. Complaining about the lucky bounces every two minutes. I mean yes we got some bounces but it was a close game regardless.

  31. Tommybrady20

I don’t even really know how to characterize this team.

There were parts of this game where I felt like Torontos speed and transition offense where skating laps around us, but we get a good bunch of saves, hang around, stabilize the flow of the game to our tempo, get a clutch PP goal or two and we’re off.

We’re just solid as it comes.
