Sam Gagner wasn’t pleased with being sent down unsuspectingly by Michael Eyssimont. There was no penalty on the play. Does he have a case or play on? Have your say!
Play on – by rule this is a perfectly legal play. Established skating lane, no change of speed or direction. There's a different argument to be made that he saw the contact coming and didn't move, which wouldn't be a foul, but would be crappy. As far as that goes, I don't think this is the case. Gagner changes direction somewhat unexpectedly (I actually assumed on my first watch that someone off screen was offsides, and he was curling back to stay with one skate in the neutral zone, but the linesperson indicates the play was onside) and could have gone in several directions and speeds when he stopped/curled, Eyssimont did not really have time to react one way or the other, in my read.
