You can clearly see that Foerster is pressing. He hesitates, looks to pass to linemates, lets a scoring chance go by, & then tries to force plays that aren't there. His confidence is in the toilet. He needs to watch several games from that upstairs scouting perch. And PLEASE explain to me why Couts passed up shooting on that wide-open breakaway. That sloppy pass attempt led to the Canes having 'numbers' on a rush the other way. Hart saved his ass.
Man if Torts is valauing W's over player development it's so shortsighted & STUPID because it hurts the development of the young players which is a MUST while at the same time hurting the team's long-term by hurting their draft position with "meaningless wins"… I know the argument that wins are never bad for a team but it is in this case when the young prospects are hindered with their development & confidence (e.g. Frost/Brink's scratches & Cates minutes decline), then it is!!! And also loading recovering vets (i.e. Couts) with minutes ??? Winning should NOT be the goal with this team at this stage of the rebuild and that is why I know for a FACT Torts is the wrong coach for this team at this time!!!
So at end of the day we end up with a mid-round pick instead of a Top 5 pick while NOT learning a damn thing more about our young players who may be part of the future while also having their confidence shot and at the same time putting heavy tread on our vets who most likely will not be here in the future after the rebuild anyhow… Now how STUPID & COUNTERPRODUCTIVE is this!!!

Give this clown the islanders podcast. He can’t let his hate of Torts go. One minute he needs to play a kid that took a penalty and had a big giveaway more than the 11 minutes he got. The next point was he was playing Forester too much.
I’d prefer Rachel by herself to this guy obsessed with trolling Torts. More about Tippett, less about a top line playing 20 minutes.
Loosing is something that happens when you are rebuilding, 75% of these players won't be on the team when they are contending for a cup. The team is wining more that anyone thought they could so I'm quite happy where the team is.
Offensively, Noah Cates has never been a force, even in College. Cut Him some slack!!!!
Zamula didn't play a bad game, he played an atrocious game! He was completely awful last night Russ, what game where you watching? There is a difference between making a mistake playing the right way and making mistakes because the player is being overwhelmed. Zamula was overwhelmed last night. If Zamula could be sent down, I would send him down and bring Ginning up. Cates looked slow last night, he was really regressed this season.
