  1. Some poor sucker GM is gonna have DeBrusk eating about +6mil of their salary cap after this season. Get something for him now! Someone will take him. You can probably get a 1st and a player.

  2. Besides the obvious frustrations…great goaltending battle!!! Lauko looked strong…Beecher was good…Gryz off all season…DeBrusk’s game should be on a milk carton…

  3. Regardless of the errors, that was the most exciting game of hockey I’ve seen all season…until Debrusk ruined it.

  4. I'm going straight to the game notes with this one, cause we saw how this was the best game all month and then saw how it ended. So unfair though that Fleury decided to rewind the clock against us of all people though lol.

Forward notes. I'm starting to get tired of Monty continuously falling back to this Marchand, Zacha, Pasta line and also separating Coyle and Frederic, it feels like I'm watching a Bruce Cassidy Bruins game everytime these lines are together, because even though it clearly doesn't work he keeps trying this same old failed formula. Debrusk I wanna keep defending, but I just can't anymore, while yes he is solid defensively that isn't supposed to be his role on the team, and at the current rate he is going in the season, I do not see him being resigned at all by the B's. Another thing that is reminding me of Cassidy style Bruins games from Monty is just not using the bottom 6 in the third period even when they were great throughout the game, it is a shame he apperently for whatever reason can't trust players like Beecher and Steen even though they are great 2way players, and when Lauko is having a good game (like he did tonight) being a genuine threat with his grind style of play.

Defense notes. Not much too say really, genuinely think Gryz had a stronger game tonight than he has had since his return, even though it still wasn't amazing and that injury scare just reaffirms that he wasn't ready to return when he did. Wotherspoon continues to be a good 3rd line presence, and imo has outcompeted Mitchell for that 7th D spot. Shattenkirk seems to genuinely be getting into a really good rhythm finally, and his strong PP and PK play has started seeping into his 5v5 play as well.

Ullmark did everything he could do this game, but the team in front of him failed his outstanding play so hard in the 3rd period.

All in all… actually I don't even know to all in all about here. It's clear something needs to change with this team but I don't know what right now. Maybe trading away someone like Lysell, Debrusk and a depth defensemen for another young NHL player like Matt Boldy that is a guaranteed top 6 winger for the long term future would do it but if anything the B's need a certified top 6 C and a Top 4 Left D right now more than anything else but how do you make that work with the prospect pool, draft list, and cap situation right now for the B's? Just aggravating seeing the team you root for have this same, embarrassing quirk where they just can't do 1-2 things right no matter the players or coach. Go B's? GO B'SSSSSSSSSSS!!!

  5. Another point! Fuck! I'm slowly cooling more on DeBrusk, but waiting to see how he finishes out the time from now to the trade deadline. And the team needs to practice their shots

  6. I know we need 82 wins but it's a bummer seeing people overlook the fact that this was also a victory. That bruins team we saw tonight was dangerous AF. There've been plenty of games, even wins, that they didn't look half as good as this.

You cant take a lot of stock in a 3v3. Its as flukey as a shoot out. But the first 60 minutes was excellent.

  7. 🤣🤣🤣 The bits always soothe the ache though, I appreciate that! Better luck neck time, boys. WOOOOOO GO B's!

  8. You recap the game really well. I basically cant watch any because europe and those recaps are great 😀

  9. I love Fleury, he's an awesome guy and goalie, he deserved the win big time, I'm just not thrilled it was against the Bs

  10. Why did the Bruins fire Bruce Cassidy? Given what the Knight have done/are doing firing Bruce and hiring Monty seems to be a massive blunder by Don Sweeney. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to bag on Monty, just think Bruce is the way better coach. 🤷

  11. Coaching loses another one… 11 min to go and they go into the shell????? Dominate and wear out the team the whole game to that point. Attack and possess the puck!!!! Monty has some good but has some BIG issues as coach.

  12. Im glad Monty called out DeBrusk on that shot. Me in my arm chair coaching position was pissed about that shot and good to see I wasn't the only one. Also, forgot DeBrusk was on this team until that shot. I feel like he's been… nowhere.

  13. Debrusk needs to hit the Godam net 3v3 you cannot miss the net in that situation. He’s also back to just skating up and down his wing in straight lines real fast and that’s all he does. Ship him off in a package with gryz to address C

  14. I ain't mad. This team is a .500 team. I never saw them doing anything else with what we have on the roster. As far as I am concerned, they are performing exactly as I expected.

  15. The bruins do get goalied often and usually it feels like schmucks that decide to have thier career best against them, MAF went hall of fame mode on us and you gotta tip the cap.

  16. Beecher line looked great tonight. Can't wait to see how Monty breaks it up for next game!

  17. Debrusk has no hockey iq. He’s a third liner and that’s it. Yes he can score when he plays with Bergy and Marchand but who can’t? We have Heinen playing top 6 and on the pp yet we are sending guys with skill to world Junior and burying any forward with potential in the minors. Telling Lysell to play within the system is like telling a picasso to paint more like an engineer. As an athlete I used to love playing against guys who played a system. Predictable as F. Just saying.

  18. Your lead-in was hysterical! It's hard to argue with Monty's record. (right now)That being said, something is off with the team. The musical chairs with the lineup can't help with chemistry. I don't understand Debrusk on the second line and Frederick on the third line. The numbers say that's wrong. Lohrei should replace Griz in the lineup right now, Griz as you mentioned isn't right. DeBrusk has me second-guessing myself. Looks as if Cassidy may have been right about him. All this being said it's still early, we're still in first place in the Atlantic, and second in the conference. So it could be way worse!

  19. Really, REALLY need some production out of DeBrusk … it’s like he’s afraid to shoot sometimes

  20. The 4th line man. They were on fire today. But nooo. Let's defer to our top guys that struggle to clear the puck.

My biggest thing is what are we shortening the bench for. Sure Pasta is a top tier goal scorer. But our team isn't too front loaded. & with the 4th playing like they did last night. That were dealing with more of a 2nd 3rd line, not a 4th.

We have plenty of middle talent but nobody is a glaring problem defensively. So don't shorten it. Short shift it!!

  21. Imagine where they would be without Pasta?! This is getting to be right about where they should be unless Donney boy does something soon! But after last year, why would he?
