[Friedman] Reached out to Patrick today, he politely declined to talk…but did text to say he has not officially retired. It’s clear he prefers to stay under the radar.

It’s clear his accountant and agent told him to take that description down. Lol.

  2. Probably has something to do with the NHLPA and benefits/etc.

Or could just be a smart decision in case some (longshot) breakthrough in migraine / concussion medication is on the horizon and a few years away from the game ends up helping the condition.

    You just never know.

At this point just leave the guy alone. He’s still a UFA. Probly like 90% chance he never plays pro hockey again and it’s not even his fault.

This is what you get when “reporters” throw around words like “officially” based on a screenshot from some website.

  5. I know this comment wont go over well, but I really believe there’s a stone still unturned in his situation. I generally believe he’s a healthy person with some type of odd imbalance that has not yet been accounted for in his young life. Western medicine is the worst and will have him chasing his tail til long after his playing age, and its not surprise that treating the symptom doesn’t effect the cause. He needs to seek true balance, whatever that means for him, and I suspect the answers are out there somewhere. Really would love to see him buzzing on the ice.
