Unfortunately, due to the Wildcard playoff structure, I don't believe the Canucks will go far. Most likely it will be a Canucks vs Kings in the first round, and LA is arguably the best team in the NHL right now. If it was the old school playoff format, I would believe the Canucks would go further, since they will be going up against the likes of Nashville, Winnipeg, Calgary, Arizona, etc.
this is what I have been waiting for decades.. a coach like Tocchet who will instill mental toughness and not panic when things go wrong… GM and Prez have an actual plan on how to win.. their history has always been skill but not much balance teamwork… save for the 2 finals… this team is very different and we can feel it
There are a lot of positives seen in this team… I do wonder still if the team, as is, is good enough to contend for the Cup. My worry is that, if management feels it is not, but there is pressure internally to make a push to see how far this team can go, that they would go off-course and make a poor decision to acquire help to try to push this team over the hump right now while sacrificing the future. But seeing how special this group seems to be (I really like how Joshua and the Big-Z come to the defence of their teammates), maybe it is worth the gamble now…
Im with drance, we are not second overall just behind the stanley cup champions, games in hand put us in 6th or 7th. if you have watched the actual games you would also know they need alot of improvement before they are the second best team in the league, i mean alot. this team is good enough for the playoffs, but are not contending for the cup yet. great numbers so far but not top 5 in the league yet imo here is a number, when the canucks have played the top 10 teams in the league they are 0-4-1 so far.
It's a fun time to be a Canucks fan again. I said it last season, this team has the core talent to be a contender, they just needed to bring in some key pieces and get playing with structure. Well, who'd a thunk it? Check and check, they did it, plan the parade, and no rioting this time kids.
As a lifelong Canucks fan, I hope they are as good as their record indicates. I’m a concerned that they still lean heavily on their goalies as well as how they fared against Toronto, Vegas, and the Av’s. They just couldn’t hang with them

Goal differential is impressive this year. Less goals going in. The offense was okay last year but the defense was horrible.
All four lines contributed, 5-on-5. Yes. That's what ya wanna see.
Let's talk about DeSmith, their backup, beating a team that won 13 of their last 16 games… Big statement game by the Canucks.
Difference between Allvin and Jim Benning is that Benning overpaid the bottom-6 enornoumsly.
The canucks are good now because we have no overpaid oldies like Beagle, Roussel and Sutter. And also, Joshua and these guys are also much better.
Whats wrong with Dhalis eye?
We have an easier schedule than Vegas to finish 2023. With what 6 RW more.
This team is making me a believer !!!!!!!
Plan the parade

Still need to get that PK fixed and then everything would be fantastic
Thank god their 5on5 is heating up cause their PP’s are looking sad recently
As soon as Myers makes a giraff-gaff he'll get hate spammed but he has been great at locking down leads. Just sayin'.
