totalling shocking! As a life time Flyers fan, and I remember when the franchise started, it is just unbelievable how this team has played. All the credit to Torts, Brierre and even Chuck Fletcher who I couldn't stand as GM, but he did make at least one great trade and that was taking a chance on Tippett in the Giroux trade. I thought he was going to be a total bust, but it looks like he just needed a fresh start. So many players have stepped up!
I've been saying the Flyers are a playoff team since they beat the Pens back to back (not that the Pens are a litmus test of good teams)

As a flyers fan I can say I did not expect this but it sure is exciting to watch
This is less Tortes behind the bench and more the Devils, Canes and Isles struggling with consistency and the Pens and Caps being in decline. It's a perfect Hopium Storm for Flyers fans and it's only going to mess-up their draft and gaurantee the Rangers a trip to the 3rd round.

The additions of Sean Walker and Brad Shaw ended up having significant impact, as well. Gotta give those guys their roses even the former might get dealt for assets and the latter will likely leave soon for a head coaching position. Great video, though. Subscribed.

The Flyers have never really been on my radar, but near the end of last season I found myself in Philly for a few days so I went to a game. They had already been eliminated from playoff contention, so I expected garbage hockey. What I actually saw impressed me. They were rough and a little sloppy, but played hard and had flashes of skill and greatness. There was clearly something to build on. I don't know if I would have expected them to be doing "this" good, but it doesn't surprise me they are having a good year.
Flyers have a high number of high draft picks stepping up. And there healthy. The goal tending is also solid. Very promising future for this club.

The NHL is just better when the Flyers are competitive, don't ask why, but it just feels right.
