The Ottawa Senators first game with Jacques Martin and Daniel Alfredsson on the bench did not go as planned as they lose 4-3 in regulation to the Arizona Coyotes.

Don Cherry always said that a 3 goal lead is the worst lead to have. Hope they turn it around. I am going to the game on New Years Eve.
What is the record for 2 or 3 goal leads given up in the fist 3rd of the season. Ottawa has to be close!
You guys just do such an Ace job – this show is keeping me in the season right now. Love how often you get guests on, Jon Abbott is a great pull and obviously the ongoing visits from Master Methot Are amazing – love that guy he’s truly a talented presenter, his public speaking skills are extremely good I have no idea if anyone tells him that but he’s better than any analyst on Tv right now, I’d rather listen to Methot breakdown a game than anyone he’s always just got extremely sharp insight but more than anything his delivery is so effortlessly genuine.

DJ was a great buddy coach. Like sugar, very addictive and gives you that happy feeling. The boys have to kick the white death sugar coated buddy habit. Easier said than done.

As much as many Sens' fans had claimed to have wanted the ownership group to #fireDJ, there was no guarantee a change of head coach to Jacques Martin would necessarily help, whether immediately or in the future. The Raptors last preseason got a coach bump under new head coach Darko Rajaković, going 4-0. Yet since then it's been an 11-15 record and a Raps' squad that at halftime in a Wednesday Eastern Time home game against the NBA champion Nuggets finds itself behind 61-44. Yes there's the play-in route that doesn't exist in the NHL but the last time I'd checked the Raps had been 11th in the Eastern Conference (with 10th the lowest-ranked team to see play-in or automatic playoff action to end its season).
