There was a story recently about the Fenway Sports guys being like “ya, we wanna get penguins at the games!” just outta the blue.
Understandable, because if I had the money to own a pro sports team I would also have penguins at the games.

Idk how many of y’all don’t know this, but our first mascot was a real penguin named Penguin Pete who we had at every game on the ice
He was an Ecuadorian-born Humboldt penguin (not a cold-climate animal) who ended up fighting for his life in the hospital for 5 days before dying of pneumonia
