I cannot believe the boys have the best FO% in the league after seemingly being so bad for so long. It really can’t be overstated how much of an improvement Trochek has been over Strome (Wheeler and Bonino have been solid on FOs, too).

The other crazy thing here is that the best 30 game starts the Rangers have had have been the ’39-40 season, the ’71-72 season, and the ’93-94 season. Those teams records at that point were
1972: 20-5-5 (45 pts by today’s scoring,)
1940: 19-4-7 (also 45 pts)
1994 is 45 pts, and right now we’re at… Yup. 45 pts.
Two of those 3 seasons were kind of memorable for some reason. I’d say we’re off to a fantastic start.
