maybe ovi should become a playmaker now 🤣 he's always been a good playmaker but never had to be because he's meant to score. But if he has an identity change I think he could provide a lot of value even when he's 40. he seems to be setting up a lot of plays or getting deflections lately. currently he's the assist leader of the team's forwards. Having this value means that he could get another contract even if he's only having 20 goal seasons, if he is still getting decent points through assists in old age. And so conceivably, he could break the record albeit in a slower way. If he wasn't getting those points and can't score he'd have to retire. So that's a good sign at least. But I'm glad he got a goal. What a celly

ovechkins: tied for 1st team pts, 2nd team assists… stop all your criticizing… i love how all the criticism on ovi is how he's not scoring, in the past its always that he shoots too much… maybe he's just got you all fooled that the title is not his main concern at least not over winning. a goal and a beautiful assist which shouldve been 2 where he had EVERYBODY fooled on the shot-pass to wilson (because everyone thinks he's just chasing gretzky). stop hating, stop being hypocrites, enjoy this man while you can or just dont watch him.
