I don't think this team is better then last year
Sammy has been so bad this year he’s given up 4 goals in over 1/2 his games. When you have to score 5+ goals every game he starts it’s exhausting.
It seems Leafs fans are unable to see unhealthy tendency – almost every player who's shit on the Leafs is great on any other team, yet Leafs fans are blaming everyone but those responsible, no wonder you haven't won a cup for almost 6 decades!

As a Hurricanes fan, I've been feeling a lot of solidarity with you over how frustrating our favored teams have been this season.
Personally, I think you are giving the 'Canes a little too much credit in your comparison. Some players haven't really contributed this whole season, and at least one defenseman should have never been signed again after his last time with the team.
The worst part is I'm sure there are still gonna be Leafs fans that'll excuse this performance for some reason. Those fans make me wonder if the fanbase actually wants a winner or if the majority of the fanbase is just happy with a team that plays down to competition and gets exposed in round 1 of the playoffs most years.

Little bit of revisionist history on Campbell, Steve. He came in, was OK, had an outstanding month and then was a sub-900 goalie. He wasn't consistently good
