I have to give props to Evander, despite being 41 years old, he still managed to hang in there and return devastating shots. If this was a prime Holyfield from the early 90s, it would be a different case.

The difference in defensive skills is abysmal. That’s the real cause. Holyfield’s defense was his attack and when u can’t hit your target then you’re doomed. Remember Hopkins vs Trinidad?

Holyfield's age is more than balanced out by Toney's being smaller, fatter, and a once middleweight. He still tools Evander up with superior boxing and ring IQ. Why does Toney never get respect, cuz he's not muscly enough for the casuals? Too dark?
