The Maurice post game interview says alot. Chucky said he didn't want to cheat to create offensive opportunities,but they are. And that created odd man rushes and scoring chances against. Maurice lightened up on his reins to prove a point. He let them run free to see if they could open up and score,it didn't work. So expect them to dominate vegas.
fix is taking seriously being 'offensive' . it doesnt matter if they pass or shoot. They wont create rebounds, or lift rebounds high, or hit the net. When they shoot the goalie knows they are shooting and is usually set and ready. A reason why most teams can eat up or control rebounds. They need to focus on scoring and shooting to score and shooting accuracy. If they can't get it done with this personnel Zito needs to turn extra Defenders into new forwards
Barkov has always been like this. If he had Stamkos mentality barkov would be a top 3 player. Tkachuk on the other hand is interesting, everytime last year we got momentum with him scoring or setting someone up for success. Lastly we are a team that shoots for quantity and not quality goals, it’s frustrating.
ekblad and montour are good. they came back too early. Its going to be a grind for a while. They should be going thru these paces in practice and on IR. Edit: Ekblad last 5 games +/- by game. +1 vs stl, even, even, -1, +2 …

Stu I love brother but stop blaming ekblad he’s not the problem here..We are a team.. this is a team problem.. i don’t care how good or bad ekblad is if we can’t put the puck in the back of the net we ain’t winning shiit.

THE CURSE OF ERIK GUDBRANSON…call it karma call it what you want… but ever since the tag of embellishment was thrust on number 44. This panthers team has not played well and have lost 4 out of 5. The first two by scores of 4-0 & 4-0. The other team scoring 4 & 4 which equals 44!! Coincidence or karma ….you can decide.
I think you and Stu are as passionate as any Canadian fan of hockey, you’d think you’re 14th in the conference…you guys are 3rd? Panthers proved that doing great in the regular season isn’t a good fit for you, stay close and get on a roll….worked almost to perfection last season…no dman is perfect (Orr is maybe the exception) but they all cough up the puck, make bad passes, the more they’ve paid the more scrutiny I suppose
It's not just the Panthers, the whole Atlantic division got randomly cursed for some reason. This year was looking insanely competitive, then all of a sudden the Wings, Panthers, and Leafs fell off the face of the earth. All sub 40 while Western teams are about to hit 50. Even Boston is prematurely choking.
