Did I get scammed? – Autographed Mini Helmet

Hey r/CalgaryFlames

I hope this is the appropriate place to post this… I bought a mini hockey helmet on eBay for a Calgary Flames fan in the family for Christmas. Unfortunately, it’s still shipping and will very likely not make it here on time, but, it didn’t dawn on me until now that it may not be legitimate.

Is anyone familiar with these signatures? I tried looking up HockeyGraphs Ink online but no avail – I found Hockey Ink but I think it’s a different company.

Here is the eBay listing: [https://www.ebay.ca/itm/265489149064](https://www.ebay.ca/itm/265489149064)

Did they provide a COA that your could authenticate

At first glance it looks fine but it’s difficult to tell on closer inspection because of the shape of the helmet and how it effects the signatures. I do have difficulty imagining someone faking a Mark Jankowski or Mangiapane signature but you never know.

I couldn’t find any info on Hockeygraphs either but the COA looks like a print-at-home certificate. 99% of COAs are garbage- that doesn’t mean something is fake, it just means the COA is just a piece of paper someone printed and added to make things look official.

I can’t say 100% the signatures are authentic or fake. I’d lean to authentic based on a first impression and the unlikelihood of someone forging certain signatures. I would suggest reaching out to the seller to ask where the signatures were obtained and when. If they have no info, that would be concerning.

Honestly man, that looks very cool. Signatures look right. I’m no expert, but that’s a cool Christmas gift.
