I’m against spoiling prospects early but boy do we ever need a defenseman that can move his legs and transition our play. We have a team built for the O-zone and we need to be playing reverse defense.

I love the hype. Cant wait to see him back in the show. My personal player comparison is Jay Bouwmeester 2.0. A smooth skating elite puck moving defensemen. A play disrupter. With better hands. As his decision making continues to improve he will be a very good player.

I don’t want to rain on anyone’s parade, but this is almost certainly an emergency recall. If that’s the case, it will be a short stay for Ed.
Maybe there’s a small chance he does enough to show he should stay, and Yzerman moves someone to make it happen. This is not very likely, though.
