As a Rangers fan who defended Geo, I know he's got another level to his game. He learned under one of the most underrated goaltending coaches in Benoit Allaire and was King Hanks backup for a few years. So he learned a lot, the issue with Geo and NY is he felt disrespected. I'll go into some details. After Hank left the Rangers, Geo was pretty much promised the starting job as the starter for the Rangers. Then, just as he was about to become the starter, all of a sudden the Rangers choose to go with a split season between Geo and Igor, with Igor ending up winning the starting roll. At that point, Geo was in a rough place mentally which effected him during his starts as a Rangers goalie as he wanted nothing to do with the Rangers organization anymore and demand a trade. Took almost two years but the Avs finally came into the picture and got Geo. I think Geo is fully settled in with the Avs and this season is primed to have an even better season then last year.
