It’s starting to look more and more like Wheeler was a problem.

That’s what I get from this anyway.

  1. I think Wheeler is a guy who took head-on the types like Laine and Dubois who didn’t buy in.

And it burned everyone out. New leaders were ready to emerge but with Wheeler present it wasn’t going to fully change over.

  2. I loved wheeler but it is starting to seem like he might have been at least, part of the issue

Every player and captain has a shelf life. It was just time to move on from Wheeler as a leader and as a player. There’s no doubt in my mind that his leadership style didn’t resonate with every guy in that room

  4. wheeler was a victim of his own usage and contract, maybe add an inability to adapt his leadership to a new coaching staff maybe, but i think the only conclusive take away we can make is that his game certain didn’t match what Bones wants from his forwards

all parties just needed a fresh start, it’s hard to say it’s anything more than that

this seems more like using the results of the team to draw a conclusion about an individual than anything actually substantial imo

  5. Not a problem, but lacking the effective tools to manage different personalities
