Easton Cowan (London Knights) – 2022-23 OHL Highlights



A player whose stock rose considerably throughout the season and into the OHL Playoffs, Easton Cowan completed a run of three OHL players chosen consecutively at the bottom of the first round. The Toronto Maple Leafs took Cowan 28th overall after the Mt. Brydges, Ont. product put up an impressive 21 points (9-12–21) in 20 playoff games for the Western Conference champion London Knights.

    Favourite player and is from my hometown! Was awesome when I met him at my own hockey game and soooo happy for him! Also crazy how he is going to my favourite team and our hometown team! So proud of him and exited to see him develop! He got better as the year went on because I went to a lot of London knights games and he did great at the draft combine! So happy for him and congratulations to Easton “cowboy” Cowan!

    Why is it that people make videos of goals scored instead of showing the attributes the team drafted him for? Obviously Leafs didn't draft him for his goal scoring and sure it's nice to see he can shoot but is he a relentless Clark, a pestering Linseman or a dirty Tkachuk? Every time I look up a kid it's the same thing, a guy shooting the puck. Some times it's 10 good goals in a row and other times it's 10 screen shots in a row.

    He loves the self celly…. Seems like a gritty player so maybe that’s the grit the leafs need. Hopefully he develops his assist game to a very high level as well. It’s not a game that rewards good manners so let’s see how he goes….. Go Leafs!

    Got the scoring touch and if that grit turns into something to the likes of Marchand, Bertuzzi, that would be gold. Be. An absolutely pain in the arse to play against for opposing teams:)
