NHL Highlights | Sharks vs. Canucks – December 23, 2023

In his first game back after being scratched, Andrei Kuzmenko made his case, scoring the Vancouver Canucks’ first two goals and the rest of the team kept up the pace to stay far enough ahead of the San Jose Sharks in a 7-4 win.

  1. That’s crazy nucks are #1 at Christmas, who would’ve thought?!? Another great game from the 3rd line let’s keep it going boys! Let’s go Nucks!!

  2. Nice to see Kuzmenko return to the lineup tonight & respond with 2 goals…The Garland Joshua connection is really clicking & a lot of fun to watch those two out on the ice…On a different note, not a great start for Demko in net as he gives up 4 goals on just 25 shots for an .840 save percentage… At this point, I think DeSmith has earned an equal time share in net for the Canucks… DeSmith has a record of 6-2-2 with a 2.44 GAA & .923 Save percentage… With that being said, a well deserved Xmas break for the Canucks as they sit in 1st place overall in the NHL…

  3. Too early, 360p is almost unbearable lol. If Kuz sat this game, Canucks would have won 5-3. Keep him in the line up!.. even tho 4th goal was his man. Let him figure it out Toch!

    Go Canucks Go!

  4. Its amazing what was the canucks of the past to what we see now a strong team with scoring on all lines two great goalies and a system that works

  5. Canucks staking a claim for not just having the best goalie tandem, but the best 3rd or 4th line this season.

    – 135 goals, 10 more than the 2nd placed team and the most so far this season.
    – 23 wins, tied with Rangers in the league table
    – Hughes and Miller occupy 2x of the Top 10 Points Scorers, with Pettersson included to make 3x of the Top 15.
EDIT: Petey now ensures 3x of the Top 10 are Canucks players.
    – Hughes leads the way on points as defenseman, with 42.
    – Boeser 2nd in goals scored on 24
    – Demko with 3x shutouts this season, tied for 1st, and both he and DeSmith make up the Top 10 goalie stats on GAA.

i could go on, but I think more than enough has already been said. Canucks mean business. This bright start they had, many thought would wear off, but oh, no. They're dead wrong. Canucks go into Christmas as #1. I think now is the time EVERYONE takes notice of Vancouver.

    GO CANUCKS GO!

  6. The Canucks played hard to avenge the loss to the sharks last game. That cheap shot on Zetterland was dirty though. Credit to the Van O.

The sharks never quit on O and that is as much that can be realistically asked for with this roster. It is prob best for the sharks to have more players score just to use the points/players for trades at the deadline even if there is defensive games like this. Defense can be fixed next season when Smith, Musty, Couture and the 2024 top 5 pick join the team. It really does not matter now.

  7. I was at the game. Nice to come out to support my team on the road. I thought special teams was one of the differences of the game, the sharks didn’t do enough on the power play or penalty kill. Blackwood, it’s not all on him but it was a rough night for him. Onto the holiday break.

  8. I'm not super stoked with Pettersson. I think the non calls were good ones. Two of em, he likely should've been called for diving. Also, he's missing the net like last year's Boeser. Top line power play is struggling and far too predicable trying for the Pettersson / Beoser one-timer. Anyone know why Kuze wasn't out there for the hatty attempt with the empty net?

  9. if you look back at the 2011 cup season, their record now is about the same as it was on this very date back then, so…….

  10. Кузьменко хорош у ворот соперника, но в оборонительных действиях недорабатывает, поэтому и оставляют его вне заявки или отправляют в 4 звено. В четвертой шайбе Сан-Хосе он не успел прикрыть крайнего нападающего.

  11. In my experience, the goalie who stops a shot with the butt end of his goal stick, usually wins the game!

  12. Still crushing teams, still 4 lines rolling, still goalies at the top of wins, save % and ga, players still at the top racking up the points and goals, been over a month now. Where all the salty tears at? Must've gave up last week…lmfao 😂

  14. I’m not a canucks fan but are they only allowed to play one song all night ?does don’t forget about me have some special significance i don’t understand.

  15. Наконец-то Кузя вышел на игру и вышел голодным.😂😈👍
Будет большой ошибкой отдавать его в Вашингтон. ☝️😉🤗
