This will be an 8 year contract, between and 8&9 AV, front loaded .
It will be interesting to see how the contract is structured because even though the cap is going up next year this will probably not help them with their defense and goaltending issues now and going forward. The Leafs will never be succussful if the core 4/5 remain on this roster.

Send Samsonov to the Minors, bring up the next best contender and let Samsonov work on his game, with out pressure at the NHL level and run with Jones for as long as possible!!!

If I were Nylander .. I would give them a number and leave if they can't even come close.
Its my belief that the Nylander camp is just playing nice to get past the trade deadline so they Leverage Free agency as a negotiation tact to get the deal they want. And I fully expect that if he makes it to July 1st. He walks to the highest bidder. There is no loyalty in free agency.
