The NHLPA(National Hockey League Players Association) is appealing a six game suspension the NHL has placed on Detroit Red Wings’ David Perron for a brutal cross check against an Ottawa Senators’ player, 12/12/23.

  1. Appeal for more games? That would sound right to me. The player from Detroit, #57, who purposely went and cross-checked the guy directly in the head, should be removed from the game for the whole year. That was full on intent to hurt because he could not control his emotions. Waiting for all the backlash to my comment now.

  2. National Hockey League Players Association is a joke … they are not concerned about player welfare … only protecting the earning power of players.

  3. I think the suspension should hold. Regardless of what happened to Larkin, you can't retaliate in such a dangerous manner with a cross check to the neck/head area. You don't get to protect teammates in that manner.
