Reese Johnson hit Elias Peterson along the boards in what appeared to be a routine way. Nikita Zadorov didn’t seem to like it though, and went right after Johnson. Zadorov picked up the 17 minutes in penalties that come with instigating a fight: a five minute major for fighting, a two minute minor for instigating, and an automatic additional 10 minute misconduct. What do we think of the hit, the response, and the use of the instigator? Have your say!

I get it that they want to protect their star players, but this wasnt even a hard hit.
Yep great clean hit. But if Vancouver would rather you not finish your check on star player. Nothing wrong with either play. Like old time hockey, answer the bell. If Gretzky or Mario ever got hit the guy who did it knew it was coming. Rick Tocchet hockey!
Clean hit
Clean hit but I also like having a big dude like Zadorov on the team to keep things honest out there. Haha
Clean hit, just looked worse than it was.
This is ridiculous!
Easy clean hit. This isn't a tough call at all.
