While money is money I honestly think that if the Oilers are even "in the ballpark" Matt Benning would prefer to stay rather than go. As you said he's from St. Albert (the attached city on the North side of Edmonton). His family and friends are here. That makes a difference too. Yes, if someone offers something really good you move to take the money but if it's not that much better stay where you're happy especially as our cost of living is substantially lower than places like Vancouver, Toronto, NYC, LA, etc. Great breakdown as always, especially liked that you point out about the pick.
