The next ten games or so will decide the season in my opinion.
Yes they can lose after that and fall out, but if they cant stack some wins in the next ten games, then the hill will just be almost impossible to climb.

Dubas is doing a great Hextall impression Isn’t he ?? Out of the playoffs by Xmas and he feels it’s good enough.Nothing impressive from the boy wonder to this point .
This team is exactly where it should be in the standings. Expecting mid to late 30 something’s to carry the team offensively and not burn out is a disaster
Yes we can go on a run and sneak our way into the playoffs. We can tread water for a season or two. But Sidney Crosby can’t be expected to carry this team every single game. We need to build this team through the draft. Get younger and faster. Its gonna take a few years but I think building the team up is better than patching the current team over the next few seasons
Pens goalie play has been better than expected, and it might prove to be their ticket to the playoffs.
They arent "Old". They just dont have the tenacity and ferocity that the younger teams do. In my opinion, those are the cup contending traits the Pens are missing (see Florida last year)
Here I thought that goaltending would be the weakness going into the season, as I am not one who is sold on Jarry. I can honestly say I never saw 'disinterest' as being the thing that might ruin their season.
