Why does everyone give up in the third period? Play every period like it's the first. There is no way any team should give up 18 goals in the third period alone since Dec started…CBJ has scored 5 in that same stretch…and it's not just a goalie issue, 75+% of third period time has been in the defensive zone.
If every game ended after the second period and the third counted as OT, CBJ would be 15-11-5…second place. Basically they've lost at least 10 points because of their horrible play in the third period.
