I don’t want to get my hopes up… but does this mean it will be streaming on ESPN+ even in Root Sports broadcast area?

Get a VPN and you can always watch the root broadcast on ESPN+

No. When it says “NHL Power Play” down there in the lower right corner, that’s part of the out-of-market package and will be blacked out in the Seattle and Philadelphia markets. The game will be broadcast in Seattle on Root.

Nordvpn works but only when i click “obfuscated servers”
    Whatever that means

Like others have said, this game against the Flyers is only available on ESPN+ outside of the Root Sports broadcast area. But the Feb 10th game against the Flyers is part of the ESPN+ Hockey Night, which will be
streamed nationally including inside Root’s area.

Use a Smart DNS service (NordVPN and others provide this). I use it to watch local Kraken games on ESPN+ on my Apple TV and it works great.

Idk if this works for other people, but sometimes I just repeatedly click on “watch” even though I’m blacked out and eventually the app just caves and lets me in. 🤷🏻‍♀️ also, weirdly enough, I never have trouble watching on espn+ at Seattle bouldering project 😂
