  1. I will never tire of seeing JT Miller with his arms folded, pouting, after a game where he coughed up the puck, didn’t back check and the other team scored in OT. It’s a harsh reminder that as good as things are, they have to keep up the consistency or they’ll end up that team again.

  2. I really can’t remember a Canucks team that even though they’ve had success, the team isn’t focusing on that. They are focusing on what they can improve on. Good job Canucks !

  3. I wish the press would speak into their own f'n mic so I dont have to CRANK the volume to hear the question , and have Coach blow my speakers with his calm demeanor.

  4. Keep it up Toch, the team and fans are better with you. What a great feeling to listen to you dissect this transition of our Canucks into the team we all want to see. Been with this team since 1970.

  5. Our core has let themselves down so many times in the last few seasons and learned some hard lessons. Now mature i cant see a big recession this season.

  6. Complacency is a big killer. Working off our worst fears is the best way to attack a project or job. FEAR FEAR FEAR

  7. I love how detailed tocch is. Micro and macro. He is so in tuned with his club and other teams around the league. You can tell he is highly respected.

  8. Tocchet is great in my opinion because of how humble he is, he's never satisfied, focuses on ongoing improvement, which bleeds the right mindset and culture in the room with the boys. The boys wanna win for Tocchet and themselves. True leadership

  9. I count myself amongst the thousands of citizens in Canuck Nation that grossly underestimated the hockey IQ of Rick Tocchet. If someone had wanted to present a bet, claiming that at the Christmas break, the Canucks would be sitting at the #1 position in the 32 franchise league, I would have declined the offer, and replied that I don't want to prey on the naivete of the novice hockey enthusiast. And yet…that is exactly where we are. In late February of next year, I will be turning 63. I have suffered through 3 Cup Finals and 2 Presidents Trophys and numerous seasons of unrealized expectations. In over a half century of waiting, at this point, I'm going to soak this period in history up as if we'd won the championship. Because at the end of the day, I've learned to temper my fantasies of center ice euphoria in early Summer evenings. You work with what you get. #GoNukzGo!

  10. Only 70 players in the history of this league have scored more goals than Tocchet , and only 9 have had more penalty minutes, but how Clark Gillies, Guy Carbonneau ended up in the hall of fame over Tocchet is mass bs.

  11. He's a joy to listen to. I've learned more from about hockey from Rick tochet interviews than the previous 35 years of my life.
