Canucks strength of schedule is 12th

While it’s good to see us on top we have some hard work ahead of us. VGK are 20th ranked and LAK are 32nd rank. If we don’t finish 1st in the division most likely going to have to play one of these two in the 1st round.

We also have the least back to backs remaning.

while yes we face tougher teams, we will be more rested most of the time. Its good prep for the playoffs.

There’s a real good chance that those 7 games vs LA and Vegas will decide the Western Playoffs as the 2nd and 3rd place Pacific teams have to play each other in 1st round of the playoffs.

I look around tonights results,, some top teams losts to the lower rank teams

  4. No, it’s not. This is based on current point % of opponent – not actual team quality, not road v home, not b2bs or even 4 in 6s, nothing. Schedule losses matter more than opponent’s standings spot.

Wait for the end of January. LA is about to go through an absolute hell month with how many games they have to play. Playing the Preds at home seems easy enough but less so when it’s two days after the end of a road trip to WSH TBL FLA DET CAR DAL… in the span of nine days.

Vegas just lost to Anaheim, nothing is guaranteed, LA has had more rest and time between games than most teams, they’re going to get worn down in January.
