The Russian winger will be a healthy scratch for the fourth time this season tonight against the Nashville Predators, with his head coach seemingly fed up with the lack of Kuzmenko’s 200 foot game.

1st, Kuzmenko and Meyers for 3.5 years of Karllson. 😮😂
Kuzy is not a young player that will learn how to forecheck, like a Hoglander. Tocchet knows that he is 27 and look to resist changing his playing style at this age of his career. Also, Craig Button is right, the team is heading to trading Kuzy off the team eventually if this scratching persists. When there are willing trading partners, it is wise to move on from Kuzy.
Kyle follows the Lord. Same as his brother Tervor.
It's still early in the season and Tock isn't fuckin around with Kuzy. He is not tolerating any players that are not playing the system he has put in place. Smart move by Tock, cuz this team is a contender despite what all the talking heads keep saying. They can't afford to have a player of Kuzy's caliber to not play the system properly. I am sure that it is very frustrating for both Kuzy and Tock to have to work through this but in the end it will pay dividends to both Kuzy and the team. Extending Zad is good if they can get him for decent money, They still have cap issues that are going to get worse in two seasons time with the OEL buyout at 4.7 million. They can save 5 million on the Myers contract going forward so that pretty much takes care of the savings right there, so how do they come up with the money to sign Rhonek, Petey etc. If it were me i would try to resign Myers for a million if he would go for it, he has really turned his game around and the last dozen games he has been the Canucks second best D-man. My guess is if Kuzy can't get his game together he will have to go and probably gets traded at the deadline for cap space. Oh ya the cap ain't going up next year, like everyone thinks it is. The world economy keeps getting shell shocked by the mentally ill increase in interest rates. The kids out there under 45 years of age haven't even seen a recession, for get about the depression these mad men at central banks are cooking up. In the next 12 months the housing foreclosures are going to sky rocket along with the economy collapsing. Yikes, no cap increase coming because of that.
Trevor is right. With 17 points in 32 games, he hasn't been that bad. 4th line and press box is pointless if he isn't given another chance in the top 6 afterward.

This benching of Kuzemenko is okay by me…next man up mentality is a good thing. PDG, amongst others are a viable option. This constant competition in the bottom 6 is a good ‘problem’ to have. And let’s give a shout out to Kyle. Let’s acknowledge his efforts. His producing is awesome. Kyle Bhawan freaking rocks the socks. Rocks the socks off the blocks. The interview I saw with Kuzmenko indicated he was trying as hard as he could to do what the coach wants. He was very positive, also. Very respectful of Tocchet and a positive attitude. Does Tocchet have a history of having a whipping boy?
we dont see what happens behind the play when the puck is turned over..it cannot be just because of his points..Also last year is not comparable..canucks where terrible

There are some things he needs to figure out in order to play the game at this level but unfortunately the coach feels enough time has passed, and believes the completion of that development will take too long – in the meantime taking up a valuable ($5M) roster spot.
