It was a historic night for Kris Letang, becoming the 1st defenseman ever to record 5 points in a period and tying the record for most assists in a game by a D-man, the first to do so since Gary Suter in 1986
The 3rd assist at 1:00 should not be an assist. Malkin passed it to another player and then received it back from that player. I don't understand how Letang would be credited with an assist there.
I hope the Penguins can have one last run with this core. Seems like they're bound to be a basement team for a while once Crosby, Letang and Malkin retire

6 assists is amazing. The NHL record is 7 assists in a game and itโs only been done 4 times (Once by Billy Taylor, 3 times by The Great One).
