You and I talked about this already.
I'm so sick of Carbery going with Kuemper. Of course you can't blame a goalie for a loss in which his team only scores 1 but he clearly isn't the best goalie on this team.
The only question I have with RL is "will he be a C at NHL level?" We need it!
The trade deadline is March 8. Unless they get a ridiculous deal for Mantha, I'd just watch him until like early or mid February. If he's still playing well, I'd start thinking of signing him to a 3-5 year deal. I don't know what he wants or how he relates to Carberry, but something is working really well right now.
As to the loss to the Rangers, this was a measuring stick game. The Rangers are an elite team this year. And after we stung them 4-0 in Washington, they were probably extra motivated for this game. I like Kuemper, but since Lindgren did shut them out on December 9, it might have made sense to come back with him again.
