There once was a Team with a GOAT , who the Rainbow they would promote, they put sins before wins and turned tape into hate, while the Fans in the Stands were abhorred. Short and Sweet. I would prefer a Culture Change in the Oiler Dressing Room that removes powerful tangible external media influences and I see a need to start by literally telling the Captain to stop it with the colored tape . The issue shows there are still things more important than winning a Stanley Cup being promoted supported and fostered by energy that needs to be devoted only to the Team and to winning themselves a Stanley Cup.Its a problem because the Coach cannot control it, its a constant irritant and energy drain, and the Coach has no influence to change it.Its like seeing Skinner roasting in the media non-stop after his historic Playoff implosion last year,its so regressive. It is what it is.
They started their 8 game win streak 7 places out of the 1st wildcard position still 7 places out but now only 7 points out of a wildcard with 3 and 4 games in hand. Only 51 games and they still need help from the teams ahead of them, but if they can put together another heater it'll go a long way to helping themselves.
