Luke Hughes scores a beautiful end to end goal late in the 3rd to tie the game at 3.

Kinda tired seeing them not score first but whatever 😒😒😒 but we won, we got the two points, the empty net worked for once, and so yeah that was the night. Hope you had a happy holidays, ngl that break felt like a billion years. (Dude this comment is so random I’m so sorry 😭😭😭)
Don’t get me wrong…I am THRILLED to see Timo producing. And I love Timo as a person and as a player. But he is not “back.” He has had a lucky few games where the puck has bounced his way which has overshadowed his (hopefully injury-related) deficiencies.
Even on his game winner…he was skating like he had cement in his skates. His clear-cut breakaway turned into a situation where all three Columbus players caught him because his skating was so slow. Again, thrilled it went in, and so happy for Timo (hopefully this little hot stretch helps salvage some of his confidence…he is smiling again lately and the mental side of things is half the battle)…but I still feel like he’s hampered by injuries and not at anywhere close to 100%.
Two other things to say:
1. Vitek must go. That third goal against, while also on Siegenthaler because of the egregious turnover, was horrific.
2. Luke. Hughes. What a freaking goal.

Palat, Mercer, Luke, Timo, and The Cardiac Kids have done it! Really thought it was over after the Sieg fumble, but thankfully someone with the last name Hughes bailed us out again. A bit excited to see Daws but with how close this game was, I guess it was for the best it didn't happen tonight (even with that 3rd goal). V has been getting better overall I guess so I'll be merciful for now, but I'm still hesitant to even think about saying he deserves the net long-term. Maybe we'll see some Akira starts and Daws backups in the future; really hoping that Akira isn't sent to Utica yet. LGD!
LOL. Devils players make two mistakes that lead to goals and yet again you blame Vanecek. I believe he needs to go on 10 game SO streak and still you would be blaming him. Yes, he misjudged the poke check and it is a goal but goalies do this mistakes all the time. Unbelievable from you

Each goal tonight by the boys was beautiful….the haula touch pass, the Mercer piss missle, Luke going coast to coast…..Timo on the break…..so sick
Luke absolutely FLEW down the ice on that goal. That was amazing to watch on TV, the camera almost couldn’t keep up with him!! He looked like a man who said to his brother after leaving the puck for him “hold my beer”
Happy to see Timo heating up. If the rumors are to be believed, Timo has been working through an MCL sprain. This would explain his lack of gas the last couple of games since coming back. His skating looked better on that OT goal. LGD!!!
#43 best Devil goal this season. Unreal wheels. Made SC top 10. Maybe it re-lights the fire for jack. Team could get rolling at the right time and get another 7-3 run going!
My Devils team is definitely always the best. Especially Timo and Luke. We definitely achieved this victory. A huge upset victory in overtime. I'm confident.

Why are you smiling? The Devils are playing horrible hockey. Horrible. Siegenthaler needs to be shown the door. We 100% let the wrong guy go when we let Graves leave. Why do we keep playing Siegenthaler and Smith??? FFS
Meier leading our playoff push??? I literally just spit out my coffee. If the Devils don't get an actual starting goalie and a solid defensemen or two this team will not even sniff at the playoffs. Siegenthaler, Smith need to sit…permanently.
