[Austin Broad] I think the most disheartening thing about this season is that there were finally expectations & every single facet of the organization has fallen short of them Coaching staff is lost; GM banked on internal growth and now looks dumb and most players are underperforming

   Granato has been here almost four years now with zero playoff appearances, he’s a likeable dude but any serious franchise would’ve canned him already.

   And Adams definitely messed up not bringing in any significant upgrades in the off-season, we have all this cap space and more prospects than roster spots but have done fuck all with it. Re-signing Okposo and Girgs was such a stupid move, you don’t get the luxury of bringing back washed up vets “for feelz” when you haven’t made the goddamn playoffs in over a decade.

   Something I’ve noticed over the past few years with this franchise. Maybe I’m wrong, but it seems that every single time there are expectations set for the team, they somehow find a way to blow it or do the exact opposite. For example, last season, in February we were *technically* in the playoffs (I even took a screen shot of the standings just because). We were “expected” to continue that and finally break the cycle and make it into the post season. Instead, we went on a losing streak in March to the point we were then “expected” to not make the playoffs. Only to turn around and go on a tear and miss it by one point. That leads into this season where the expectations were that we’d finally break into the post season with an amazing season after last year. Only to give a half hearted effort and now have given a season performance to the point that we are on the brink of missing the playoffs yet again (if we haven’t already). So maybe it’s just me, but maybe it’s being able to manage expectations and the serious lack of ability to do so.
