Reacting to Rangers Oilers, 12/22/2023. The New York Rangers cannot contain the Oilers potent 3rd period offense. IM PISSED!!!
The Edmonton Oilers scored four goals in the third period for a second straight game in a 4-3 win against the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden in New York on Friday.
Mika Zibanejad had a goal and an assist, and Chris Kreider had two assists for the Rangers (22-8-1), who had won three in a row and host the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday. Jonathan Quick made 24 saves, Quick allowed four goals on 10 shots in the third after shutting the Oilers out for five straight periods.

Been home sick all day waiting for this game and then that 3rd happened. First two periods looked good. On to the next one.
They’re goalie kept them in it plus, our third period start was horrific the end of the game off strong, but too little too late and the defense soft again tuba did not have his best game and Miller fell down turned into a goal I hate streaming games.
Quick stood tall tonight, unfortunately the team couldn’t give him any goal support until late in the 3rd down by 3. Better rebound tommorow night against Buffalo!!!

That's what happens when you only play 40 minutes in a 60 minute hockey game. I know you can't win them all but I'd rather be beat by a good team than fold and give one away to a scrub team. I'll be at MSG tomorrow vs the Sabres. They better show up for a full 60 tomorrow.
Not the third period we had in mind. Buffalo tomorrow. Can't have that type of 3rd period against the Sabres. At least the Flyers bit the dust against Detroit in the shootout. Move on to the next one.

I would like us to go on a win streak more than just 3, but oh well. This game was winnable especially if we actually capitalized on our chances in the first and second, getting nothing out of those first couple power plays was disappointing. If Skinner's helmet never came off we might have, who knows. Just bounce back tomorrow and go on another streak, finish this month strong.

Giving up goals in short periods of time is getting old. It's like watching a squirt team that gets deflated after giving one up. I expect more from players making millions to play a kids game. Disgusted by last nights loss.
