Team Sweden beat team Canada 2-0 today in IIHF WJC 2024 action in a very tight game that could have gone either way. Canucks Tom Willander had himself a nice game scoring his first goal of the tournament and the winning goal, as Sweden has yet to let in a goal Jonathan Lekkerimaki had an assist aswell.

Yeah I think it's going to come down to Canada and Sweden for the gold. The Americans look very overrated based off their performances so far. Canada would have a great chance in the rematch as they always seem to be a different team by the end of these tournaments than they are in the preliminary round.
There's no question it was a penalty. It would have been called on Canada
If he came in from the side its no call, this guy went directly for the numbers, not sure if you have ever played hockey with those comments,, but thats a call 90% of the time the fact it was already called a 2 reviewed for 5 then completely taken away after the ref himself called a boarding penalty,, 0 reason this isnt a 2 minute penalty at minimum, ref got the phone call to decide the game easy to see, they want that Canada usa match up bad

Vancouver Canucks have 3 top players on the best team at the world jr's (Sweden) and they just beat a loaded NHL full team Canada roster 2-0 with the first goal from Canucks #1 draft pick RHD Tom Willander and on the 2nd goal got an assist from their other #1 top pick offensive sniper Johnathan Lekeramakki. Canucks are gonna be even better 2-3 years from now. The 3rd Swedish player they drafted Defenseman “D-Petey” is playing tons of minutes in all situations with a solid physical 2 way game.
