  1. Tomorrow Rafa vs Alcaraz gonna be entering this file: Fight between generations.
And hopefully, this is gonna be a historic one .
    Vamos 💪

  2. Monfils isn't a great tactical player today but oh my how terrible he was back then lol the guy just seemed to have no brain

  3. Monfils didn't have the head and focus back then. He wanted to be a showman & entertainer instead of using his head. Wasted talent who only won 63% of his matches and never reached a Major final!

  4. how was this a generation game when safin was 29 and monfils 23? lol not that much of a difference

  5. Safins best was lethal and don't forget he beat sampras,Federer and novak twice each, won 2 slams 5 master 1000s and 2 davis cups even though he spent 4 years out with injuries and retired at 29 in this season.

  6. I hope tennis players of the future will understand that they can learn a lot from prime Monfils despite how he was never number one.

  7. Safin was timid and played like ass. Man I wish safin had a more successful career, such smooth strokes.

  8. Such a talent, Monfils. Pity he didn't have consistency throughout his career…®️👍👏

  9. Do people in professional tennis recognize how differently your commentators speak about the players?! Pointing to the intellect of some while heavy on the shots or physicality of others. A deficit vs prominence way of framing comments. Hoping I’m wrong.

  10. "Generation game" but they both were in their 20's (merely one year short of the age difference between Fed and Novak!). Tomorrow's match between Rafa and Alcaraz will see someone in his 10's and someone well in his 30's face each other. What would be even more fun is a potential Federer-Alcaraz match with an 18 year-old aspiring legend facing a 41 year-old established legend!

  11. It was already a "late " Safin … Not the one in 2005. Therefore, the clown's luck has come!

  12. Safin was 29 and monfils was 22 at that time given that age difference every Federer/Djokovic and every Federer/Murray match can also be called "generation game", doesn't make sense. By that logic, Thiem/Shapovalov or Thiem/FAA can also be called generation game which again doesn't make sense since all of them are in 20s. Federer/Sinner or Rafa/Alcaraz or Nole/Musetti is more of a generation game

  13. If only Safin and his sister were more mentally tough and less injury prone, they could have achieved the tennis sibling status the likes of the Williams and Bryans.

  14. Nadal nascido em 1986 se tornou profissional em 2001 Alcaraz nascido em 2003, em 2003 Nadal já era profissional.

  15. Real ranking atp by level of tennis
    1. Djokovic.
    2. Nadal
    3. Medvedev
    4. Zverev
    5. Tsitsipas
    6. Felix auger aliassime
    7. Carlos alcaraz
    8. Jannik sinner
    9. Andrey rublev
    10. Casper ruud

  16. As good as he is what did Gael improve in 13 years? Not much…compare big 3's game/technique evolution (not about the results)

  17. Such a ugly celebration from Monfils , like a clown image Safin winning against Sampras and doing this
