It’s not a matter of a good fit… it’s a matter of priority. Scoring is the least of Edmonton’s problems. It’s not even a problem.
Our problem is goaltending. You’ll see that again tonight against the Kings. At a minimum they’ll put up 4 goals & it’s impossible to go anywhere in the playoffs when good teams have no problem putting 4 goals on you. Expecting the Oilers or any team to score 5+ goals a game in the playoffs is just fantasy.
We just need get behind this team, we have a great team already. Campbell is a good goalie, if they would have stuck with him in playoffs last year we would have won cup I believe! He replaced Skinner and played good, they should have gone with hot hand. We used to have a saying in hockey, "Your only as good as your last shift."

Guentzel would be great brown did not work out and I believe if they trade brown they still get that 3 mil cap hit next year?
I think that a big, strong, defensively sound forward would be much easier to fit under the salary cap than a point per game scorer.
