When an ENTIRE FANBASE turns on you

With Craig Berube getting fired, Jordan Kyrou has come under significant criticism from the St. Louis Blues fanbase after his comments about Berube. He was heavily boo’d throughout the game against the Ottawa Senators and broke down during his post game interview as a result.

Poor kid! Hope he turns it around soon.

  1. Other underperforming and overpaid right winger is Patrik Laine (8,7m$ aav), maybe switching those two could revive their seasons.

  2. Learned a lesson and the fan base will respond on Saturday with cheers. If anyone boos him on Saturday than they dont know wtf they are doing

  3. Except the "entire fanbase" did not "turn on" Kyrou. It's the same overly entitled, ignorant blowhards who always irrationally bash their own players. This has been going on for decades now.

  4. He didn’t say anything bad. He was probably saying what the team told them all to say if asked a question. You all realize it’s no different than any other corporation? You gotta take the side of the big boss or else you find yourself elsewhere.

  5. Just goes to show how passionate Blues fans are. Look STL is a working class town and I think we’ve bred a grinding crush you in the corner wear you down kinda mentality/ game here but recently players that are more offensively minded and maybe have a run and gun style have taken over. That doesn’t sit so well with a lot of Blues fans. Sure it’s a lot easier to fire a coach than a player but that doesn’t make it right. I hope JK learned his lesson. Even if his words don’t carry a lot of weight because of his age , we’re paying attention and we’re not afraid to take you to task for your comments. All that being said I’ve been a fan long before they ever won a cup and will continue to be . Some of us fans just can’t turn it off or even consider being a fan of another team. Best of luck to Chief. With his pedigree he won’t have a problem getting another job. One last thing here if JK wants to sway some opinions maybe he should show a little more physicality. Throw the body around a little. Let’s Go Blues!!!

  6. After 2019, Craig Berube will never have to pay for a drink in STL ever again. He can come back as head coach of the Chicago Blackhawks and pump this team 8-goose, and they will cheer him when they put him on the jumbotron.

Kyrou needs to learn how to read the room, and some of these sportswriters need to stop asking questions, when THEY KNOW the player/coach relationship wasn't all sunshine and flowers.

  7. The kid has gotta remember he plays for number 1, himself.
Everyone else is secondary. He shouldn’t take it personal.
Half of those fans are drunk and most of them wanted a change in coaching anyways.
    He should ignore the negativity.
