You just can't play the guy. He is a guaranteed loss currently.

Sammy is having a rough go, letting a skater alone in front while 3 players pinch behind the net and God knows where the hell the other two are, is a matter of positioning and defence.
Trouble is that Keef is no genius. He seems not to want to say or do anything which I can interpret as a plan. So expect to see more of Samsonov. Really, you want a talented goalie like Hildeby to move up and give it everything.

With his state of mind giving him another nhl start could very well break the guy for good. More besides hockey is bothering Ilya. And for leafs management to put him up for slaughter with the media after the game. That was a classless move

Sammy in net basically deflates the team and they play horrible when he's between the pipes.
Not fair to the team to play samsonov,put him on waivers & move on!
33 games in and 17 wins. That's 500 hockey in my eyes, it's more then goaltending. It's defensive structure

I agree for most part: Samsonov is 53.3% of possible points: 5-2-6 so far, six OT losses; Leafs are 55% in last 10 games:4-3-3 so the problem is not Samsonov clearly even letting in several weak goals-so what-no reason to pile on; better look at lack of checking from forwards plus shaky D; overuse of Reilly…
Sammy is not the only problem on this team. Plenty of blame to go around including the coaching staff.
Sure a couple of goals were his fault. Come on man, look at the past few games , their defense is the main reason they give up so many goals. It doesn't matter which goalie is in net, poor defensive play in your on end and no back check leaves the offensive players open. Its a team game and the leafs do not play team defense

Get rid of Sheldon Keefe or we are not going to win or make the playoffs he sucks he's a goof.
Never mind making a trade or anything they need to get rid of their coaching staff. They suck the bag. They’re the Worst coached team in the NHL by far
