Definitely the right move, definitely a lot later than most people would like. Really, it’s too bad he couldn’t put it all together here.

RIP King. I feel like he got injured a lot (twice?) right when he was starting to get his chances to prove himself and just never got things going.

    Watch Toronto claim him

Feel bad for the guy but it needed to happen. Adams really screwed up our goaltending situation.

    Currently in Rochester:

    Tyson Jost: Re-signed on 7/1/23 – $2.0M over 1 year.

    Jacob Bryson – Re-signed on 7/10/23 – $3.7M over 2 years.

Eric Comrie- Signed on 7/13/22 – $3.6 over 2 years (one remaining).

Riley Stillman- Traded for on 2/27/23 – $4M over 3 years (one remaining).

So, looking at single-year impacts, Rochester currently has $6.98M worth of this season’s Sabres cap hit hanging out eating garbage plates. We now have the second lowest cap number in the league, only the Blackhawks are lower.

Toronto needs a goalie. Too bad we didnt trade Comrie for Matthews straight up.

Thank you for your service, Eric!! Wishing him the best of luck with the rest of his career. Too bad he never really found his stride w us.
Have to say it’s a weight off our shoulders being able to have some consistency in net.

Doesn’t feel good. I like the guy, he has a new baby, I wish things had worked out better. Had to happen, though. Hope I get to see him play when he comes to my town.

… and once he gets picked up, Comrie goes on to be the next Ullmark. How the Sabres flow

    Well, I’ve been wrong before.

I just wonder what took so long.

We couldn’t get a proper Savoie trial because of this?

But it’s done. Let’s hope Adams learns from this and the Jost move so that he acts a little more swiftly on these types of decisions.
